Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a British-Canadian actress most well-known for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In the same role, she appeared in the films Sex and the City 2008 and Sex and the City 2 2010. The actress is also famous for her roles as a leading actress in the 1980s films Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall's appearance on the HBO TV comedy Sex & the City is among the most memorable. Cattrall, a noted actor, has acknowledged her portrayal of Samantha Jones as a career-defining role.
